Our Programs

Utah Crew has two programs: Youth Recreational and Youth Competitive rowing. Rec rowing provides kids with a more relaxed atmosphere, whether a novice or experience rower. Technique is the focus of the rec program and allows new rowers to explore the sport. It is a good program to start with for those who are unsure if they want to compete or those who just want to try something new.

The Comp team gives kids a place to enhance their fitness and learn how to row while also focusing on speed. This program is a lot more regimented and focuses primarily on enhancing technique and learning how to harness power to become faster. The competitive programs requires kids to race at local and away regattas. It is a good fit for those who want become really fit, compete, and invest themselves in a sport.



We open up online registration about 1-2 months prior to the start of a season. We run programs all four seasons. Spring through fall are on the water and winter is just land based workouts. 

If you know you want to signup, the first step is getting your swim waiver done. See the document below. Once you have that in hand, you can complete registration as soon as we open it up. Links to registration are usually posted on our home page and on individual team pages.
